This is very scary stuff and enlightening of how GMO has caused an increase in chemicals being released into the environment (in addition to other effects). However please keep in mind not all Biotechnology is bad/causes a threat. It has allowed us to complete the human genome so that we can learn how to diagnose diseases such as sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis and find biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease. It has lead to developing powerful forensic analysis and monitoring of HIV and cancer therapy...yet all of this is contained in the laboratory.

Great point, Aimee!

David is talking more about the dangers of unleashing Biotechnology into the environment before proper testing of long term effects. I don't think he is painting all of Biotech with the same brush, just pointing out that GMO testing should also be contained in the lab ... not tested in an open environment on unsuspecting humans.

I would rather not be a "lab rat"!
